The Full Form of AAI is the AIRPORT AUTHORITY OF INDIA. Which provide the services to Airpot. And Airpot Authority of India was established in April 1195 by an act of Parliament, When Internation Airpot Authority of India (IAAI) was merged with National Airpot Authority (NAA).

What is AAI

Airport Authority of India is a statutory body, established in April 1995 under the act of Parliament. And which working under the Minister of Civil Aviation. Government of India is responsible for creating, Upgrading, managing and maintaining civil aviation infrastructure in India. AAI help in managing the services of Airpot.

AAI manages the 126 Airpot, In which 11 is the International Airpot, 11 custom Airpot, 89 Domestic Airpot and 26 civil enclaves at Military Airfields. AAI provides Air navigation services over 2.8 million square nautical miles of air space. During the year 2013- 14 AAI handled aircraft movement of 1536 thousand, Passenger handled 168.91 million and the cargo handled 2279 thousand MT.
